Women's Plus Size Wardrobe

Here are some tips that will help you in kitting out your wardrobe.

Don't pay attention to size. Rather pay attention to fit. Clothing that fit will compliment your body much more than trying to squeeze into a smaller size.

Take into consideration, monochromatic tones are slimming and will make you look taller. Use colours and patterns strategically to bring focus to your favourite features.

The right fabric can make you look like you've lost weight. Go for soft fabrics that hug your body but allow you to move in a feminine, easy manner. Avoid fabrics that are too clingy or too stiff, as they'll just make you look heavier.

Skirts and pants that taper at the hem are often more flattering than styles that are loose or baggy. Avoid wearing skirts that are wider than they are long this will make you look bigger.

You should not be afraid to wear bold accessories, just place them strategically to bring the focus to that part of your body.

Take the time to find the plus size clothing with the best cuts and styles that fit your shape and always emphasize your favourite features.

Bust

Measure at your upper back, bringing the tape around to the front of your body. Keep the tape level & measure across the fullest part of your chest.

Waist

It's best to measure where you comfortably wear your skirt or trousers. To find your natural waist, bend to one side and then measure around, keeping the tape firm (but not too tight!).

Hips

Stand tall with your feet shoulder width apart and arms by your side. Your hip is the point where your wrist falls against your legs (usually about 20cm below your waist). Remember to wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bottom.

TIPS!

For the most accurate measurement, we recommend:

•   Using a tape measure
•   Measuring yourself whilst wearing firm fitting clothing & your everyday bra
•   Measuring yourself in front of a mirror

Heaven Lee Size Guide

Now that you've found your size, it's time to talk about fit. The fit helps you understand how a style has been designed:

Is it oversized? You may be able to go down a size
Is it fitted? If you're between sizes you may need to go up a size
Is it a wide leg? It's generous for ample calves

Tops, Tanks and Jackets

Fitted - Styles that shape your body for a firm and precise fit. These styles are perfect to wear as base layering pieces because of the way they conform to the lines of your body, giving you shape as well as highlighting your curves.

Semi-Fitted - Closely shaped to your body without being too tight. These styles follow the line of the body for a flattering silhouette, without highlighting every lump & bump.

Regular Fit - Styles with a more 'relaxed' fit that are styled to shape your body and flatter your silhouette, but allow ease of movement for a comfortable wear.

Oversized - These styles have a generous overall loose fit, sometimes referred to as an 'oversize' look. They drape loosely on the body for a less structured, relaxed silhouette.

Pants, Shorts and Skirts

Wide Leg - A relaxed fit that falls straight from the hip to the hemline, allowing more fullness through the leg for a comfortable wear. Available in: Full Length, Ankle Length, Cropped and Short.

Straight Leg - The classic everyday straight leg style that is slim through the hip and relaxed in the leg. It is designed to give a flattering, slender look. Available in: Full Length, Ankle Length, Cropped and Short.

Taper - A comfortable fitted style through the hip and thigh, which tapers to a narrower fit at the ankle. Available in: Full Length, Ankle Length, and Cropped.

Slim Leg - Designed for a close and firm fit to shape your curves from hip to hem. These styles follow the line of the body for a flattering silhouette. Available in: Full Length, Ankle Length, and Cropped.

Bootleg - Fitted and snug through the hip and thigh, but then flaring out from below the knee to balance and accentuate your curvy assets. Available in: Full Length.
